turning tables.

Tell me why, my effort wasn’t enough // tell me why, it’s my fault when I am your problem // tell me why, I am the cause of this, when you did it yourself.

How do I write a letter to you // I’ve not seen you in awhile // and I won’t for a few more years.

My source of strength // shattered, broken, and never to be fixed // is it really going to carry on like this?

I tell myself, I won’t be like you // No, I won’t be like you // but I can’t stop DNA.

the Earth still revolves // but will it revolve for you & I // only time will tell.
